The Record in India
Around £9.66 million has moved into India through the Start Network. It has done three different jobs, and separating them shows what actually happened.
Crisis response and recovery
Around £7 million
Funding released to organisations responding to crises across India, covering rapid response, anticipatory action ahead of a forecast event, and recovery.
Innovation and evidence
£360,000
Seed funding for locally designed solutions to climate risk, tested with the communities they are meant to serve and documented so that others can learn from them.
Platform and institutional strengthening
£2.3 million
Investment in the Hub itself: the Secretariat, the governance, the general assemblies and members’ meetings, peer learning and training, and engagement with government, funders and other partners.
What it reached
More than 750,000 people have been reached through Start Network funded responses in India. Indian members have led those responses alongside international organisations working in the country.
